Chances are they are already blown.

If not, going too low can damage them.

mmm do not drag out buying new struts cause im sure anything over time could cause lag and decreased spring rate. But i suggest you dont lower the coil overs any more than 1.5inches all around. your stock shocks can handle that. then once you get your KYB"S (do not get the GR-2, do not!!!, they are jsut a stock replacment! save more money and get the agx's!) you can lower it a little more.

also what coilovers did you get.

ok here are your choices bro and in order from cheapest to most expensive. Kyb gr-2, tokico blues, kyb agx, koni sports. Now i seriously recomend against the gr-2 if your lowering any where near 2inches or more!! The tokicos MAY be able to handle that, but the kyb agxs and the konis will def handel it. Before i got my Jic i had sleeve coilovers (about a 2.5-2.7 inch drop) I replaced my stock schock w/ gr-2 they blew in less than a month i then got Agx's and they were fine, lasted for about 6 months before i replaced them and did great!
