coil terminals

hi,the coil on my ca18det engine has 3 terminals,which is positive,which is negative and which gets the signal from the ecu??its because im installing the microtech LTX-8 engine management and it only uses the pos.and negative terminalsany help with this??

The stock coils are going to give you grief. But to answer your question, the red wire sends the signal to the spark plugs, the white wire gets it's 12v switched power from the ignitor and the black is ground.
