Hello all. I am new here and am in need of help, bad. I Recently attempted to replace my struts on my q with OEM struts. Only to find out I need new springs as well. After doing research on this forum and others, I'm not sure that I can find any besides OEM. I read about the tein springs that some people have used and had no problems while others did. The other brands (I think both start with an 'e') I can't find at all. I see tein springs on some websites but I'm not sure of the model number in which to order the correct ones. I know too that the teins people have been ordering are for the Nissan Cedric/Gloria, Not the v8 Q45. But I need springs and am willing to take a chance since some like the ride. If anyone is selling anything let me know ASAP. Any other help will be glady appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the Tein springs for about 10 years. I had no issues for many years and then i started to have probblems, which my mechanic thought was due to the springs. Espelier was the other brand that was around, if you can find any of them I would be surprised, I could find none when I started to have issues. I think at the end of the day my issue was with the KYB SR that I bought off some guys that used to hang out on the board.

The issue you have with the lowering springs is that your Q will be VERY low and not sure how they would match up to the OEM struts. The other choices you have a BC or Insurance coilovers which are both $$ and really makes the car ride rough (but handles like a mother).

if you can find some Teins I would try it vs. OEM if you want to go lower, if not go everthinginfiniti and get OEM springs/shocks, especially if you like the more plush ride

Hi There:

I believe I still have at least one OEM front spring for your car, but I will check if I have 2. Did you need 1 or 2?

Shoot me a PM and hopefully I can help you out. Just pay for the packaging and shipping costs and it's yours.

I'm in IL just west of Chicago.

I also have both rear springs with non-adjustable struts I just remembered. I could remove the struts and give you those rear springs as well.

Hello guys, I have been busy with school and forgot all about the thread since I was in need of a fix for my car so I ordered only the front struts and springs, OEM. I do have some concerns I do own the AE Q45 so it has the active suspension. Now that I have non-touring struts on my car, I am wondering two things. 1.) Although the car isn't bouncy up front anymore (the back still needs work so it does still bounce crazy), it still does a little skipping across the ground and slightly hit bumps a little too hard for me. I was told that a wheel alignment can fix that issue. Thoughts? 2.) My ABS, Trac off, and slip light has remained on since the mechanic replaced the parts. Under the hood, one of the senors over the struts never stays on tightly and the other is kinda loose as well. Can would this have something to do with the lights? Or can it be because I have the non-touring struts? I only ordered the struts and didn't change out anything else that may go along with it.
