I know that you don't see these upgraded much in RBs, But other than stock and Splitfire what other options so I have for Coil Paks and ignition upgrades. OH! and incase you didn't know this is for a S1 RB25

nothing else for a stock replacement that ive come across. ive read about others (even with other nissan engines) using ls1 coils but i think maybe their management system had something to do with it (or at least how they explained it to me).

are the stocks not working for you anymore ??

No the stocks are working perfect, I was just surious, cause I saw one on google a week or so ago with MSD coils, maybe that explains the LS1 coils... no clue just wondering what other options are out there.

If you check out I think its XS engineering, they have a Voltage booster that will boost the initial voltage to your coils.(i.e.. instead of starting off with 1 volt boosting up to 100volts, lets say it'll give it 10 volts to boost up to 1,000 volts)

the xs powerpack (also called the b&m new volt) is a voltage booster like sil240 said, it basicaly keeps voltage to the coils at a constant 20v iirc.yes it does work but it does shorten the life of the coils.i run splitfires in mine, but they were the result of me throwing parts at a problem...honestly if the stockers are working fine then leave it alone.else try a msd dis 4, you'll have to convert the car to wasted spark but you would gain the msd's abilty to ignite almost any mixture.

ok. yeah i really dont want to shorten the life of my coils any... They are working fine, I was just wondering what else was out there other than the splitfire coils... thanks!

im running a coil pack setup from a buick gn-x 87' turbo v6 model ..its running as a waste spark so there is three coils but im using the accel replacment puts out a lot of voltage compared to the stock coils .. it works great no more miss no more heat problems with the coils ... idle is rock solid now ..

Ive seen MSD individual coils for each cylinder but im not sure if thie require managment to run or just run the stock coil wire to the MSD pack. It would require research. MSD does make Distributerless ignition system.
