Quick question, How do we know if one of the coil packs are going out. Mine is skipping a little and am not sure if it is a coil pack or what is going on. I am thinking it is spark bacause at idle it will do a little bump in the idle every few seconds. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks...

Unless the coils from a VH45DE out of a Q45 can be wired on, i would say no, because no other nissan 4 cylinder that i know of came direct ignition.

Maximas used a direct fire system i believe. mid 90's maxima with a VG series engine. That's the extra coil pack we used to test my timing out a little while ago.

I'm going to request that some of the SR stickies be moved back into the SR section, only SR guys use them anyways.

I'm sorry, matt. What did you say? I think the swear filter caught it before I did :)

I think the SR stickies should be here. We're the only guys that read them.

I have also been told that the coil packs from a 2000 Sentra SER Spec V might work. What do you guys think?

To make sure your coilpacks are good, test for resistance across the 1st and 2nd pin, you should be reading 1ohm.
