I think I know my answer to this one but I wanted to verify.

I had been having some idling issues and some misfiring in the 4-5k range for awhile now....mostly the idle problem. Finally last week I was looking at something under the hood while it was running and heard a clicking noise, and long story shot it was spark coming from the coil packs. So yesterday I finally took them off to clean the inside where the spring is and then taped up the lower part of the coil packs.

For about 30mins this seemed to help alot but alas the idling problem came back. It was dark out by this time last night and I could see light flashing in about 3 cylinders consistantly and 2 others less frequently.

My question is I shouldn't be able to see any light in the cylinders correct? because if I do that means the spark is being wasted. Sorry I hope all this makes some sort of sense haha.

Also does anyone know if the RB20 coil packs are the same at the RB25 S1?

You can get them off an infinity..... uhhh I think maybe its a q45 or something else, but only cylinder 1&2 are the same coil as we use. I think theyre about 100$ a pop at advance auto.... but theyre brand new.

My friend had a set of coil plugs and 5 out of the 6 seem to be working just fine and I found 1 of mine that was working. Idle still wasn't perfect but the car ran all the way to 6800 with no trouble for the first time this year haha.

On a side note he gave me a 2nd set with the part number 22433-59S11. What are these from and would they work on my motor as well?

and stric...thanks for the link I will check those out. Are you running those coil packs on your car?

well on SAU.com people either run those or the JJR, the jjr are 40 bux more and same performance, a lot of people were skeptical due to the low price but i read about 20 plus people with all positive feedback on the yellowjackets i am going to get them and let them sit until my stock coils go, i might even throw them on and sell my oem ones cheap, i heard them say they got improved idle, higher revving, and with less misfires

or you could do the completly incompitent thing and just get new ones off an infinty. the back ones froma q45 if i remember, at $150 each only someone who just re-re would get them....oh, wait, that was my shop i had working on it while i was deployed and i just trusted, while my wife paid the bill. hmm, the spitfire are aftermarket right? but yeah, dont do the stealership route
