I was just doing some reading and came across this site, this is mostly about RB's but a lot of the information is still relavent. Some of you guys talked about coilpack replacements well heres a option if you guys dont want to go back to Coil On Plug setup.

After reading it, its ridiculously easy to wire up.

i just thought of doing this the other night, i was contemplating using my stock coils or mustang cobra 4.6L coils on my mega squirt setup so i could retain coil on plug, why couldnt it work the othe way around too!

primary resistance is about the same as nissan with dodge neon coils and the ford V8 (uses2 4cly packs) ,4clyinder coil packs ,or GM packs off grand am's and alot of others

im not sure if the dwell times would need tweaked though.

DSM's use Chrysler 300M coils for the "COP Conversion". They don't really modify anything else in the ignition system. They just bypass the factory coil setup.

I really only posted that for CA guys who are running stock harness and stock ecu. Pretty much for reliability purposes and for people who dont want to keep looking for something compatile like Z32 or RB COP, plus its less expensive.

As for Megasquirt as long as you know the wiring of the coilpack than it will work. And dwell is easily adjustable, just starting going lower until the motor doesnt respond well like misfiring than increase a bit than its set.
