Coil pack bolts......snaped

So yea 2 of my coil pack bolts snaped while puting them back on. Can i run the car like this? And when i get my head done will it cost alot more to fix?

they bolt to the valve cover, not the head. so when you get your head worked on, they won't even know about those bolts.

how far down did they snap? if there's enough sticking out, you might be able to get a set of small vice grips on them and pull them back out.

I guess its pretty common, I snapped one on mine but I used an easy-out to remove it and just replaced the bolt.

I do that all the time,You sould be apply to get it out with some vise's grips.But the last time i did it i had to take the valve cover to a machine shop to have them drill it out,But i think its because i broke the drill bit in there trying to fix it But ya those little 10mm coil pack bolts brake very very easy,They sould be torqued to 4-7lbs.GOOD LUCK i hope you get it out.

2 of mine snaped on me not too long ago... i just leave it along... my motor run fine without it......

you can run without them, but i wouldn't suggest just leaving it that way. the coil pack can shake loose and pull off the plug just enough to weaken the spark and cause some funny mis-firing issues.

Yeah you can run it like that. I had to run mine like that because the powder coat on my valve cover kindda made that bolt hole smaller...

nah... the coil packs is in there pretty deep it wont shake off that easy. on top of that you can put on the center cover on thats for sure it wont come out.

that's where you tap the hole to clean it up.
