I am really just interested in just 2 brands, Stance and Endura-tech. I will be putting on a set of rota off-road grids with 225/50/16 size tires. Will the Endura-techs be able to go low enough to eliminate any fender gap (on their website, it states that these coil overs have a 2.5 inch drop), or will I need to go with Stance GR+ Pros. Also, how low can the Stance set go?

And as for quality, which is better? I know that Endura-Tech is a sister company of the largest manufacturer of OEM springs in the world, so this leads me to believe that they will have the highest quality.

as far as ride height goes, Stances go pretty low.

I haven't seen how low Enduratechs go ( I don't even know anyone with them).

how low are you planning on going?

They're all the same in quality.Damper quality is the characteristic you should look out for.

The Stance's will be able to lower your car to the ground and then some. Just FYI, if you're planning to go with 225's and you want to slam your car, you won't be able to pull it off without a roll and a pull.

CA18tt, You have to forgive me when it comes to forums. I tried to edit and I received a response saying that I was not entitled to do so, but that doesn't really matter.

Thanks to the other 2 that replied, I know that you, RPS13, run Stance and I appreciate the info regarding tire size. You run 205/50/16 I'm assuming to avoid this problem. Does stretching the tire effect safety, handling or grip?

Thanks again

Going too low messes up a few "correct" handling aspects of the car, aka, they aren't designed to work at a 3" drop.

Of course stretching a tire will provide less grip than a correct fitting tire on the same wheel. Running 8" wide wheels 205's won't grip as much as 225's.

Plus then there is the whole issue with avoiding road imperfections and such.

I hate to sound like one of the "anti-coilover" Nazi's, but lower is not always better. Usually quality compression dampening, quality valving, and well selected spring rates provide the best street setup.

Thanks for the reply PHeller. Would you recommend the endura-tech coils then? Do you have any experience with them or know anyone here that does (I have read the few reviews here and the one from Modified Mag).

stance are very nice! Pheller is right about going to low but their are adjustable control arms, tie rods, etc to correct the suspension geometry

Endura Tech has been a sponsor here a long time and they have an awesome selection of spring rates to choose from. I would shoot them an email and see what they suggest. They cost a little more, but their design is nice, and they are customer service friendly.

Check their page and see the articles / technical info

Honestly I LOOOOVE my stances but they don't go as low as I wish. Here is a picture of the lowest the front can possibly go. Oh and it doesn't get lower when I drop in the motor. The coilovers are so low in the front that I had to cut the bump stops off og my control arms because they were hitting when I turned the wheel.

AZHitman had Endura-Techs on his vert before the air suspension went on, and they seem to have gone plenty low to me.

205's on an 8 in wide wheel is barely a stretch. IMO, it also looks better than the bulky look of the 225's on the Rota Grids too.

I also don't think there is going to be a noticeable difference between 205's and 225's in regards to traction anyways. Now before I get flamed for saying this let me explain. I have a friend with a nearly identical set up like mine. Stance coilovers and SR putting out about 300 hp. He's running 255's in the rear though and he still doesn't get traction from a stand still. It's not so much the tire size on the 240's, but the fact that most of us like to slam our cars with stiff coilovers. That's why it's hard to get good traction from a stand still.

If you want low, kts ultra lows are the lowest ive seen.

Of the two mentioned though, I personally would go with stance just bc Im not diggin endura tech's spring rates.

It went plenty low on the 17's too, though. I really like the Endura-Techs.

Couple pro drifters have driven my car hard on the track and reported they were pleased with the handling as well.
