Coil over springs

I wanted to get some advice from people with a car like mine...

I have 220,000 kms on the car now, and still riding on stock springs and struts... I think it is time for a replacement, but I am not really interested in lowering the car.

Are coil-over's a good idea? What about struts, any good suggestions for something relatively inexpensive?

I think 220,000 kms on the springs, they are getting a little tired, even though it still feels quite good on the road compared to alot of other vehicles after 100,000 kms!
