Could anyone help? If you hooked up one live wire and grounded it out, what damages would this cause, if any?

If you're talking about grounding the +12V lead to the ignition coil, then you'll likely just blow a fuse. It appears to be the same fuse for the ECM, teh ECM will also not receive power until the fuse is replaced.

If that doesn't answer your question, please clarify.

My coils are getting over powered, there is much electrical to them causing them to burn out, what could be causing that.

How did you come to the conclusion that they are being overpowered? It might help with the diagnosis.
