I have a 2001 Pathfinder LE with 240,000 miles. I got a check engine soon light and took it to Auto Zone and they gave me these 3 codes p0160 p0325 and p1130, I have. Been driving with the check engine light on for over 2000 miles with no noticeable problems. I know what the codes mean but was wondering if any are really critical and if anybody else has had this code combination and, if so, how it was corrected. Kilimanjaro1

You have three seperate, seemingly unrelated codes: knock sensor, swirl control solenoid, and no communication from downstream O2 sensor on bank 2.

I would check the resistance value of your knock sensor, and test your solenoid for operation.

Based on this thread, I'd say focus on the O2 sensor first; the knock sensor code may go away as a result. If you do end up tackling the knock sensor, just replace it. Getting down to it is a couple of hours of not-fun work.

I have to disagree. The rear sensor is for emissions data, and has no bearing on engine function.

HOWEVER, I have never seen this particular O2 sensor code, and never heard of a complete lack of communication from the sensor. Because of this, I would check all the wiring going to all three sensors and solenoid, then start by troubleshooting the knock sensor.

I might add I have never changed the catalytic converter and with 240000 I was thinking that might have something to do with it?

You don't need to replace the cats unless the O2 sensors are reporting that they're performing under threshold. They're not wear and tear items and only need to be replaced if the engine had a problem like running rich for too long which resulted in them getting fouled.

Good for you! :bigthumb:

I agree, the cat has nothing to do with these codes. You may not be currently experiencing any drivability issues, but taking care of them is in your best interest.
