I normally like figuring stuff out on my own, but I think there might be something simple here that I'm missing. Obligatory information: 1992 240SX. S14 KA24DE.
I've had a long saga with this car that I won't get into here, other than to say that the last time I had it running, I had the original engine installed, and the only code I got was for the EGR. Suffice it to say that the factory engine is dead, so I installed a S14 KA24DE.
I searched quite a bit, and one of the things I saw some varying information about was the knock sensor. Some threads said to swap it, others made no mention of it. Tonight I saw an old thread about the knock sensor harness failing, so I'll check that. Basically, the original knock sensor for the car was cracked, so I left the S14 one on the engine when I swapped it.
I took it for a test drive tonight after swapping the engine. It drove fine for a little while, the all of the sudden, it started stumbling and cutting out. It threw a code, so I limped it home and got 33 and 34.

So... here's the question: would leaving a S14 knock sensor on a S13 cause it to throw code 34, and if it throws code 34, will that cause it to miss, stumble, and cut out?
Also, code 33 would most likely indicate a failed oxygen sensor, correct? Would this code have anything to do with the stumbling?
Additional information, in case it matters. I completed an emissions delete. IACV remained hooked up, as did PCV. The only remaining vacuum lines are for the FPR and brake booster. The car ran like a scalded dog when I first got it running. It continued to run strong until it threw the code. After I cleared the codes, it ran strong again. This leads me to believe the problem is in the wiring or one of the sensors, rather than the timing.
Any information would be appreciated.
