I have to do emissions inspection on my 97 Pathfinder by the end of the month and I had a O2 sensor code P0156. So I changed out the sensor yesterday and reset the computer. I always get a p1441 code that comes and goes and I could never figure that one out. But what I find interesting is that while driving the vehicle today, with a full tank of gas, the p1441 code came up and when I checked the scanner, the evap monitor was not even ready yet. How is that possible?

Generally the only time EONV shows "ready" is right after a passed EONV test, then it goes "unready" again pending a new test. The only thing meaningful is whether the last EONV passed or failed.

P1441 is usually from one of three things, a bad Vacuum Cut Bypass valve, junk (often spiders) in the bypass plumbing, or a charcoal clog from a broken canister bag.
