got a check engine light. usually get them when the idiot gas man doesnt close the lid all the way. any good non-expensive code readers i can do a quick check and delete codes with. i dont feel like climbing under the dash every few weeks. i drive a 95 max se

No need to get a scanner. Just take it to autozone or a similar place and they'll scan for free.

i despise those places. plus none close enough to me. i rather do it myself. at the moment the only work i cant do at my garage is an alignment. im not going to buy a rack anytime soon.

You could always do the screw driver method if you don't feel like going to auto zone. Just be careful those screws tend to be brittle.

i got 2 at autozone, there is one that is about 90 bucks *basic, tells you the code and you follow it up on the cd it comes with for more info*

and i got a 190$ one that shows the code and what the problem is. both are not that hard to use, but its all depending what code reader you wanna get

just got a slightly used $90 one off ebay for $30 shipped. should fit the bill.
