I have a 01 pathfinder I was getting really bad gas milage so I checked for and codes and there was one its was o2 bank2 sensor1 but I NEVER had a CEL light came on??? so I changed it along with the plugs while I was in there. the next day I have a po171 code come on ?I dont thank its my air flow meter. any ideas maybe its the o2 on the passenger side? any help would be great thanks! I also need to know if the right bank is the passanger side?? lol also do you really need to have the computer flashed when you replace a o2 or can you just clear the memorey and let it remap it self?? so I called every dealer in denver and they all said that they do not flash the computer after reinstalling a o2 sensor just a thought? Also anyone thank that I sould replace the other o2 on bank 1 sensor 1??

the third thread in this forum is a OBD code chart for future reference

"P0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1)"

thats your code dont know what it means but thats what it is.

would you happen to know which sensor or where this code is for

"P0138 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)"

I've had the 0171 code before, but before replacing anything, give your MAF sensor a clean and your throttle body, as per another recent thread. This will normally put things right, and is something you can do yourself BEFORE spending a fortune at the dealers/workshop.

When I got the 0171 code I cleaned my MAF and it went off for a while... but came back and I had to replace the MAF. No problems since then (knock on wood).
