code p1110

The code I got from the dealer on my Qx4 is P1110 which is the intake valve timing control left hand bank code and they replaced a sensor part #23731-2y524 light came on again and now want to replace the solenoid. Is this the same problem you guys were having with the p1145 code or is this a completely different solenoid. The service manager showed me where the part goes to give me an approximation of labour time and it appeared to be on the passenger side? code 1110 says left side? I take the vehicle in today to have this done and service manger says she was talking to a tech and that their could be oil pressure problem (oil blockage?) and this could take up to 6 hours to diagnose and may be causing the solenoid to misread? She now has two diffent opinions and said she was going to check with an Infiniti dealer. This is a new Nissan dealership I deal with and am starting to feel a little hesitant about the service department. 6 hours is alot of labour, the vehicle is currently running fine but the engine light is on. Help?

im on my way to work but i will have some info for you tonight. i have seen many with bad sensors, a few with bad solenoids, and one with oil pressure prob.

ok, the p1110 code is for bank one which is the passenger side. it is usually the sensor. i would find out for sure which one they replaced.
