So my SES light comes on my 2002 I35 Sport and its error code P0720 – Output Speed Sensor / Revolution Speed Sensor. A quick search of this forum has shown me how to replace the Speed Sensor behind the drivers-side front wheel.

Is the sensor that easy to replace? Is there a “re-learn” procedure for the ECM? I’m guessing that I’ll see some sort of immediate result (i.e. no more slipping and better mpg) right?

It should be a simple "Plug n Play" procedure. No relearn or reset needed. I would also check the ABS tone ring on that axle as well since even a slight variation on the ring can cause an issue with your ABS system. Are you getting any weird ABS activations or just the MIL?

As for the ABS / Brakes - I have no issues. How are these two issues related?
