Just purchased a 2010 Rogue SL AWD from our neighbor. Has 82k. My daughter just took it back to college (300 miles away). She called two hours in to say it was having a hard time accelerating and the service engine light came on. Sent her to an Autozone and the code read was P0715 which is a speed sensor in transmission? She was able to complete her drive and I am planning to change CVT fluid and the sensor when she comes home in a couple weeks.

I haven't found many posts regarding this code. Is it indicative of a failing transmission?

Thanks.

Good news!

It’s NOT a sign of a failing transmission.

Sign of an incorrect air & fuel mixture somewhere.

I personally had problems with bank 1 twice, but not bank two yet.

I’m sure many here will make a suggestion for a solution. It varies. :mike

I found these after a quick search.

Here’s one that suggests you should clean or replace the gas cap.

Anyone have clarification on whether there are two speed sensors on the transmission? I am seeing a primary and a secondary. :(
