I changed the mass airflow sensor also. Code still returned. It eventually goes off by itself, so now I just ignore it. If that bothers you, go to advance auto parts for $25 and get a scanner. You can read the code yourself and, if MAF, clear it yourself. If its something else, you still have the option to take it in for service or diagnose it yourself first.

You could also have an intake leak (vacuum leak).

Not sure if your talking to me or the OP. IF me, I would suspect a vacuum leak would be continuous, not intermittent. No? Otherwise the code would not "turn itself off"

Both of you. The code P0101 also lists intake air leak as a possible cause.

P0101
- Faulty mass air flow sensor
- Intake air leaks
- Dirty mass air flow sensor
- Dirty mass air filter
- Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
- Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection
