I had a code checker for a 93 escort and wondered if there is one for the 93 J30. Only reason is to prevent pulling the ECU from the kick panel everytime you want to pull codes. I think they may cost ~$35.00

Thanks

I have a code checker for OBD 1 that covers many vehicles including Toyota and Nissan. It inculded a plastic screw driver and instructions on pulling the codes for Nissan - you don't even use the "scanner." I suspect this is typical.
