wifes car again, AWD light stays on and I found a code C1204. Have not had a chance to take the car from her for any more testing, but from reading it appears to be the solenoid in the transfer case. One individual told me this solenoid is not replaced.

Wondering about common causes for this code, and if the solenoid can be ordered separately if that is the faulty part. Haven't noticed any problems with driving or turning which would indicate if the AWD is on or not.
