Code 81... Please help!

I have a 1996 240. The ECU is blinking a code 81. Anyone know what it is? I haven't seen it listed on the internet. I have reset the computer three times. It takes about 200 miles before it comes back on. Help!

I'm no expert on the "blinking code" to P code conversion, put I "think" the 81 you refer to is actually a 0801. This would correspond to a P1441 (vacuum control/bypass valve).

The translation between blinking and P codes can be found
