code 35 - EGR temp sensor

After my 5 speed swap and a 5 speed ecu (cali spec) i'm getting an EGR temp sensor code. Car itself is federal emissions spec so from what i understand i dont have that sensor. Besides flashing the ECU are there any work arounds to getting this code gone? it makes me paranoid that i could have other problems and i dont want to ignore the light. I know i could do the resistor trick, but does my harness even have the correct wiring to the non existant sensor?
