First of all let me say im fairly new to Z32 cars but not imports in general so i know a little about maintanance and modifications on cars . I am stumped on this code 34 thing though . My car is a 91 TT with stock turbos , ECU upgrade full stainless exhaust and Dyno tuned to 14 PSI . Car runs great except when cold and recently Brad (worldisgrand) came into my town (thanks again dude) and helped me pull my plenum ,do the deletes on the manifold and we put a new set of 370 injectors and replaced valve cover gaskets and intercooler piping .
Back to problem got code 34 not long after we got car back together ,after researching detonation sensor issue i decided to do the relocation kit . My car was not going into safety boost and still ran good when at operating temperature . I put the kit on following bernies instructions and after resetting ecu no light for about 15 miles then it came on again . I had a bad injector in no 2 cyl before replacing all of them so brad said to do compression check to make sure i didnt have a bad cyl problem . Today i did compression check regapped plugs as a few were gapped improperly and heres my results
No 2 152 psi
no 4 162 psi
no 6 165 psi
no 1 168 psi
no3 170 psi
no 5 170 psi

put back together let car warm up and drove down road about 5 miles , Jeez ran like a scalded dog pin me to my seat ran better than ever ,no code called brad to tell him news and while
idling in driveway light came on cant figure it out allready checked connections harness etc . baffled any help greatly appreciated
Car runs very strong except when cold if thats any clue thanks again

Are you sure that it's a KS Code 34? On a '93 J30 (also OBD1), a KS Code 34 doesn't cause the CEL to turn ON, plus a KS Code 34 would affect performance/engine timing even after the engine is warmed up.

Thanks for reply. It was code 34 definetly but it did go away after
My compression testing spark plug re gapping yesterday
But after a spirited drive down my street n
Boosting fully got code 35 Egr sensor. But I did Egr delete so that baffled me
Reset ecu n got 55 . Until today on way to work
Light on Agsin after hard acceleration. Haven't had time to see whst it is
Will update later.

Have you replaced the KS harness? This could be your issue, most of the original ones break, crack, well just get old. It may also be a corroded connection at the KS side of the harness. This will throw a code 34, but not affect the way it runs. Had it happen to me a while back.

I once had three things wrong on my engine that would generate codes; an O2 sensor connector and the KS connector were swapped, plus a vacuum line to the EGR control valve wasn't connected, but only one code showed up when I checked the ECM. It wasn't until I cleared the O2 sensor and KS codes, that the EGR code finally appeared.
