When I was driving this morning I smelled something like exhaust gas. I knew something happened again. I stoped my car and opened the hood. No surprise. The engine oil dipstick was pushed out and engine oil was blowed out from that oil stick tube to allover the right side of the engine compartment. This was the third time it happened this week! First time this happened, I took my car to Mr.Lub to refill the oil. Second time I took my car to a repair shop and I got a CODE 32:EGR SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. The technican told me that the egr valve doesn't operate properly(egr valve spring doesn't lift) and he got that valve fixed. But this morning again. Is there any body can help me to diagnose this problem? Wes, are you online? Before this happened, I got CEL came on and off intermittently several times. May be something wrong with my vacuum system? or I need to warm up my car several minutes before driving because outside temp is below -20degree celsius now in Toronto. Oh, by the way, I just changed my timing belt one month ago. Is that related?Thank you everybody, I really appreciate your response!

What year and model are you driving?

What;s the mileage on the engine?

I'll do my best to help.

Check your pcv valve.

Did you have a valve job done? Was the crankcase overfilled?

That technican told me that the egr valve was rusted and he just lubricated it. I don't think the crankcase was overfilled, I always keep the same oil quantity every time when I get oil change. Also, the technican gave me a pcv clean last time. Is that helpful? I guess not.

I would take it either to a dealer or to these guys http://www.nizztex.com They only work on the J30/300 ZX engines and have a lot of knowledge.

Just to be clear, I can't think of any way whatsoever that a malfunctioning EGR could cause the symptoms you're seeing. Almost certainly your crankcase is over-pressurized. How does the car run? Lumpy, rough? Open the oil fill cap and see if there's a lot of gas escaping.
