So ya, I changed out my knock sensor a couple weeks back because of the code 34, and I check it again and today it's a code 31 (ECM). Is there any possible way that these 2 can be related? I've never had the ECM code pop up, and the car runs just fine.

What are the symptoms of running a bad ECM? Will it pull back timing, and reduce power, like the bad knock sensor did? Car runs just fine, it seems to be lacking a little, but I think that's just me getting used to the boost I'm running. Let me know what I need to do!

On a side note, my ecu isn't bolted up on the passenger kick panel or anything, it just kind of falls out when you pull the plastic cover off. Is this bad, will it cause any harm if it's not bolted down tight? Thanks alot!

Come on guys, what will happen to my engine if I run an ecu throwing the 'bad ecu code'?

I dont really know about the code your ecu is throwing did you check and see what the code stands for. as far as the ecu just hanging there they should be bolted down properly and then covered or you could be asking for trouble if someone accidentally gets caught in it and rips wires out of it that happened to a friend of mine and he ended up having to get a new ecu wouldnt want it to happen to you it sucks, plus their behind the plastics and bolted up for a reason to keep them protected.

Yeah, mines nice and covered up by the kick panel....it just isn't bolted down. I need to bolt it down, but it looks like all the wiring harnesses are in the way.

I did look the code up, and its for a bad ecu. So supposedly my ecu needs replaced, unless its just a random code being thrown? I'm wondering if there's any way to check the ecu and verify that it is actually bad? I want to doublecheck, maybe it's just throwing the code randomly? The car runs perfect, so I don't know what to think.
