Code 21 after MSD 6A install

I've installed the MSD 6A and Blaster Coil in a 93 ka24de. Have read that it shouldn't be an issue with 91-94 models but I'm throwing code 21 (ignition issue). (Not seeing any problems unless its causing my retarded timings during boost) Is there any known problems with just letting the code be?'

On a side note, the MSD 8910, Tach adaptor, is required on the other year model 240s, what problem does it cure? Does the tachometer not work without it? Mine works fine.
