code 1490 ???? help

Hi: I have a 2001 Sentra 2.0 SEthe engine light came on last week.my friend check it for me, the code is 1490. but we couldn't find what it means form the book.we shut it off, but it came back on after I made the first turn out side the shop

any one had this before? expensive to fix?please let me know..

I can't find 1490 listed anywhere, you sure that was the code?

No, the light still on.my guy use the computer to check it few times, still the same code. P1490he also called his part supplier to find out, but their computer couldn't find that code also...the car still drive good. what else I can do

I did search on google, someone had the same code before, he said that;s the bypass valve malfunction, it's behind the Lf/Rear wheel.the connector was wet, so need to replace the connector to the bypass valve..anyone has any idea about this? is it a big job? $$$ ?

I found this alsocode P1490 = Vacuum Cut Valve Bypass Valve (Circuit)

any idea???

Could be that the valve is sticking. It's a fairly common issue with the evap system, though I don't think this is the same thing (different code number). Try lubing the valve or replacing it.

Have you had your VIN run for the ECU foam recall?
