code 14 and 123 ? 92' 240sx(auto)

checked my codes to see what is makin my car not shift and run like crap and got code 14 (vehicle speed sensor)? and 123(overrun clutch)? what do i do? car is a 1992 240sx auto transmission ... never had a transmission problem, it sat through winter and didnt shift right in the spring..?

possibly a solonoid hanging up. could of got gunked up while the car sat. Try draining the trans and refilling it with fresh fluid. It would be a good idea to replace or clean the filter screen as well.

ok i did that and it didnt help any , replaced filter as well

your gonna have to start checking connectors and grounds. check all your fuses as well make sure none are blown.

Does it feel like your car is in a higher gear when taking off? or does it feel like it is in first[tacs out quickly]?

check the stuff I told you to check,after you check that get to the trans control unit and disconnect it then try to drive it. If now it takes off in third gear that tells you it is likely a input to the control unit rather then a internal trans issue.

Which input to control units should I be checking? Where is the trans control unit that I disconnect?

Car spits out a code 14.

89 240sx automatic

Problems noted:

1) Cannot wide open throttle pass around 4-4.5k - car rev limits. Happens in Neutral also.

2) Sometimes, when it is cold and car has been sitting (so cal, so around 50-60 degrees) will be in safe mode - third gear - until warm & I turn the engine off & on again.
