Lately I've been having this stumble as I shift into 2nd gear in my '91 240sx. So I pulled the codes and I get the Coolant temp sensor circuit. I check the resistance on the sensor but it is in spec...Then I check the wiring. 4.9V at 'A' and ground and I get a beep noise for continuity between 'B' and ground. What should the resistance be for continuity???Is ther something I missed? Could there be a loose pin on the ECU?

I unhooked the sensor and went for a drive. It seems the stumble has disappeared since I believe the ECU goes into safe mode for 80C..Should I replace the sensor anyway even if it reads fine? .349 k ohms after a long highway drive.

Thanks

Turns out the connection was poor so I just bent the female and male pins a bit on the sensors and harness connector and it seems to be not stumbling at all.

EDIT: Well, I lied. THe thing studders like no fuel is getting to the engine sometimes. This is only after changing a gear and normally more often when the engine is cold... Hmm sounds like a vacuum leak but I get 22in Hg at idle?? Sometimes if I'm careful it won't bog. I'm going to hardwire my walbro pump. I wonder if it requires a heavier gauge wire than stock due to the increased resistance...
