Ok, I got code 11 before, and so I replaced the distributor. The car intermittently runs funky, so I have no doubt that something is wrong with it. Thing is, code 11 came back... maybe 2 months after I replaced the dist, if even that long.

What could be causing this? Could moisture or something be getting inside the distributor housing and messing with the sensor... is this a common problem.. could the engine vibrations be damaging the device?

It's also worth noting that my old crankshaft position sensor seemed fine when I had the dist out, and the code only occurs intermittently, and the car runs generally OK.

Maybe the sensor just needs replacing. Or do you mean camshaft position sensor, because the crankshaft position sensor isn't built into the distributor, the camshaft position sensor is.
