I'm having trouble with my Redtop. It idles ok but as soon as i rev it at all, it dies. I checked for codes and am getting a code for the cas and for the maf. Is it common for the cas to fail or should I just assume the timing is off. As far as the maf goes I assume it's a wiring issue. Im only getting intermittent power to the signal wire. I'm going to first tap into the signal wire closer to the ecu and run it back to the maf to see if that helps. Any other suggestions? I also posted a video of me pulling the codes to make sure that I got them correct.

You pulled the codes correctly.

Do you know what the timing is sitting at?

It's not a common thing to see die on an SR, but it's not unheard of either. You can test for continuity between the two sensor wires at the CAS plug and their respective ECU pins if you want to be sure it's not an issue with the wiring. The power wire should be seeing battery voltage as it is powered by the ECCS relay. And lastly, confirm the ground is good on the plug.

Past that, check that timing isn't astronomically off and consider swapping in a known good CAS to eliminate it as a variable.

As for the MAF, try cleaning it first. If the hot wire is coated in crap, it could be causing your intermittent issue on the signal wire. Also check for continuity on that circuit before you go running a new line. It's possible at the solder points for your MAF extension that something got junked up. It's a shielded line, make sure that the shielding didn't get soldered in with the signal line.

Cleaned the maf and checked the wiring.. Still having the same issue. Last resort, tapped the line close to the ecu and am still not receiving any power from the white signal wire. Does this mean I should be looking for a new ecu?

Are you getting battery voltage at the MAF's power wire? Is the ground showing good continuity? I would try swapping on a known good MAF before swapping on a known good ECU. If you have a friend that would be willing to let you swap parts on to test your car, try that before you bite the bullet and start dropping money on parts replacement you might not need to do.
