Code 0745

Looked through 20 pages of posts--haven't seen this one addressed.

My son bought a 96 i30 with l50,000. Selling dealer had code cleared...soon as son got it home 0745 pops up. Definition: Line pressure solenoid valve fault. Possible causes: l. open or short circuit. 2.blocked passage in transmission. or 3. failed line pressure solenoid valve.

Color of fluid is decent, maybe a little darker than i'd like. Transmission shifts fine for the most part, might be a little hesitant going into 2nd sometimes.

This incredible car doesn't leak a drop of anything. Trans pan might never have been pulled, but car appears to have been maintained well . Any one with experience on this 0745 issue?
