I just recieved my Cobra MAF in the mail, the guy I bought from also had a piece of chrome piping that connected the Cobra MAF to the TB on his 1993 Cobra. It is a chrome pipe almost 3" in diameter shaped like a J, after test fitting it will work perfectly.
What I need to do is weld a few nipples on the pipe. The 3 lines going to the stock intake pipe, and one for my BOV intake routing. How do you suggest I go about this? I am probably going the drill/welding route, but this is hard because of lack of access to a welder, so I was checking to see if anyone knew a better idea to make the pipe have nipples to connect the hoses, one that would look good (it IS a chrome pipe after all, it will look very good if I do a clean install) and will not require welding.
Also, how do I wire a Cobra MAF to work? I heard JWT sells adapters, is this true? If so I will just get one when they send back my ECU.
In case anyone is wondering my MAF came used off of a 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra and the pipe is an aftermarket pipe for the Cobra, the guy just didn't need it anymore. I got the MAF off of ebay and he threw in the pipe free since he didn't need it, it was right at $80 shipped 2nd day air insured. So for anyone looking for one, I suggest ebay and not paying JWT $200-250. Also look for the auctions without pictures of the product, although riskier, people won't bid as high if they don't see an actual pic of what they are getting.
