Well, as of tonight I'm the proud owner of a Cobb AccessPort and running the stage 1 tune at the moment: Stage1 (+3% HP/+2% lb-ft.), +500RPM Rev Limiter

Should have my exhaust in and installed within the next two weeks and will tune to Stage 2: Stage2 (+11.0% HP/+5.7% lb-ft.)

New exhaust is the Invidia Gemini and will include Invidia HFC's. I've just replaced the factory filters with K&N's as well.

No major impressions yet as traffic kept me from being able to check the new RPM settings but it does feel smoother with acceleration.

Special thanks to http://www.tunerzstore.com for the best ordering experience I have ever had with a online site.

Sweet!

I'd be interested to hear your impression of it (COBB) and whether it REALLY is worthwhile.

What made you go with the Invidia?

Lots of good reviews. I'm not 100% with the burnt tips but that should be fine. I was actually going to do headers and intake system too but was directed toward the Cobb. I'll know more later, after I get the exhaust on. 3% is not a big gain via Stage 1 but the +500 on the rev limiter should be quite fun. I will also be able to play with the tunes.

NICE! Let us know how it goes.

I'm told that a dyno tune will be desired down the road...for true gains.

tach is known to be off some...your true shift point is probably 8000 rpms, but that is amazing. I bet you love it!

I want to raise my rev-limit. I need to upgrade to the Emanage Ultimate so I can do that.

Thinking about it, my car idles around 700rpm-ish which is high.

Cobb doesn't recommend after market intakes with any of the stage upgrades. The oem intake is designed very well and has been since the first gen g35. He does have some K & N drop in's though....

Its true. The VQ engine is very picky with intake temps and the stock intake box does about the best you can do for keeping temps down.

This is the reason I use the STILLEN airbox with my JWT filter and why I wrapped it all in Heat Shield Tape.

Waiting to hear back on your *full* review of the COBB.

Ya, but the OEM is too quiet! I miss my louder coupe

The tuner is only for manual G37's...no love for AUTO...

Yeah, I don't quite understand that, nothing changed from 08-09, same motor, same horsepower.

Nissan intakes in general are a pretty good design.

I will have a review of the Cobb in a few weeks. I threw it on within a couple days of leaving for vacation and have not had any chance to do much with it. I'm hoping to have the full exhaust on next week and the stage 2 tune uploaded. Afterward I will try to hit a dragstrip and see what she'll do now. I can run it with the stage 2, reload the default map, run it again as comparison. With a few tests I should be able to see what differences there are between the tune and exhaust. I do have a baseline at the track thus far with a 13.8.

It supports the 2008 G37 coupe in auto. The 2009+ auto is 7sp vs. the 5sp that I have so maybe they are still working on testing with the 7sp?

FWIW they do have a Stage 2+ map available which is for aftermarket intakes. There are no notes available for the map to know what the differences are at the moment.
