I remember seeing a coating mentioned by I think VStar650CL for restoring weathered headlight lenses. Maybe something that's used to coat circuit boards?

Anyhow, my mom's Xterra is starting to get the typical headlight wear. I've used the 3M wipe on product, and a Spray on Duplicolor product on my truck - and both hold up for about a year parked outside all of the time. What brand do you like, and do you think this stuff will work better or last longer?

The stuff lasts very well, it's been on the left headlight of our '04 for over a year now. The only disadvantage to it is that it can't be buffed like a clearcoat, so make sure the underlying plastic is well-buffed before you apply it. On the other hand, it can be easily buffed off with red compound if it ever needs to be reapplied. I have the can at work, I'll get you a pic tomorrow (not in the shop today).

One other thing you can use that's "guaranteed forever" is a regular epoxy clearcoat like Eastwood 2K. That can be buffed and is basically the same clearcoat OE's put on your car. But since it's epoxy, don't "miss" when you apply it, mistakes will be forever.

Here you go. There are a number of different products like this and all will work, but I've found this one to be the most durable and scratch-resistant.
