Lots of money in case, heaven forbid, something breaks. Money for tickets in case some Highway Patrol officer has his panties in a bunch...yeah, that should cover it.

Have a safe trip man.

+1 on having a safe trip. you may want to stay on roads that are more south during that time of year. which skyline model did you acquire?

Thanks guys for the good luck!! I will be driving my 95 r33 gtr v- spec the whole way. Should be staying pretty south taking the 40 east most of the way. Should be arriving in WV on the 23rd I hope. Thanks again guys for all the advice and respect.

Put tape on the front end to avoid the excessive rock chips. Painters tape works great.

Yeah lots of miles but, these cars should be driven a lot especially as hard as everyone has to work just to have one in the US.But yeah lots of people think i'm stupid or crazy.lol Yeah Im going to tape the hole frontend up in painters tape. That stuff doesnt leave marks on the car right? Which color do I get blue, green etc. Wow Im gonna stick out white skyline with blue frontend, maybe start a new trend.lol

By the way, now that I think about it, you might want to bring some tylonal for your back, cause those seats are going to kick your *** from coast to coast. You are going to prolly regret driving that thing that far. My R32 GT-R seat punishes me after just about 3 hours on the highway in my Laurel.

I would never drive any car from coast to coast. Much less a skyline.

I hope you have more comfortable seats than my R32.*ouch*Great seats but only for the first couple hours or so. I really REALLY could have used a lumbar cushion.

And cruise would have been nice, too. But that's because I'm lazy.

Yeah didn't think about the seat comfort. But then again how comfy is a coach airplane seat from coast to coast next to two sweat hogs!! The no cruise part is going to suck big time. At least the 33's have more inside room to stretch. Lots of plus's driving though. The random boob flashing+1, could happen also a chance to max out the skyline in th middle of no where+2, no security lines to deal with +3. Hopefully all and all good times in a badass nissan!

Very nice R33! The only thing I would change is the steering wheel if it is stock.

I don't know why Nissan went with a 4 spoke steering wheel with the "Nissan" logo instead of the "GTR" logo.

The R32 came with a 3 spoke with an embossed "GTR" logo on the center horn button.

The R34 came with the GTR logo in color on a 3 spoke w/ airbag.

I'd change it out to a 3 spoke aftermarket if you haven't done so already. Other than that, the R33 is good to go.

Yeah, not sure about the 33 seats, but the 32 seat I have in my Laurel beats the hell out of me after about two hours like Count said.

As far as the cruise control, you will find, most cars over here don't use it. I guess it's starting to become a little more popular, but I have only seen two cars in the 6 years I have been in Japan that have that option.

1600+ miles from Boise to St. Louis.......the stock R32 seats are NOT for roadtrips.*ouch*

Got stopped twice for no plates, but no tickets. Kansas State Patrol made us sit there for 30 minutes while they had their dispatch call Idaho DMV to confirm my story that they'd told me Idaho lets you drive for 72 hours on a Bill Of Sale.

Yeah I just got back on dec 30th. Me and my girlfriend went for the trip. It went great no issues with the car. The seats were actually pretty comfortable. DAMN THAT STOCK GOVERNOR!! 180km MAX The only thing is my friend in Virginia liked the car so much I sold it too him!! Good luck Terry with the car. Anyway no worries guys I will get another skyline eventually, hopefully a R-34. I will post pics of the trip soon.It was a good thing I didn't have to drive the r-33 back because I got stuck in a snow storm in New Mexico. LoL

I actually traded it for a 2001 bmw M5 with 19'' s and kw coilovers plus cash! Im not really a bmw fan but let me tell you very comfortably and still pretty fast. I drove it back to cali cruise control, navi, heated seats can't go wrong. But hopefully another skyline coming soon!
