ok if you can get these parts to fit then let us know. unless the company has a slack/easy returning process, i don't think it's wise to spend money on part that aren't tested. i'm trying to find a Z/G guys around me so i can do some cross checking. i'll keep the team here up to date with the news.

I don't think fitment is an issue. The discussion is about quality for the price.

fitment is always an issue! also just because when things cost a whole lot more doesn't mean it's better than the competition. more importantly than that, i would focus on customer service and warranty.

Since some one tried the stillen on his m35x and its fits 100% !!

So i guess the Berk or CNT they do Fit!! coz they are all made for the 350z !!

what i am worrying about is the Rasp sound!! I tried the BERK b4 on ma frind 350z, and there was no rasp!!

if anyone know someone with a 350z and have a CNT hfc on his car!! plz ask him!

I was referring to fitment/compatibility. Fitment due to quality is another story.

To state the obvious, you could go post in the appropriate section (for 350Z owners) of this forum to see if anyone there has heard both.

I think you will increase your chances of rasp by not having the correct fitment from the outlet of the HFC to the inlet of the y pipes -- you should ask the seller, CNT, what is the outlet diameter of their HFC (it may be 2.5") and I think the stock y pipe inlets are 2 or 2.25"....typically the HFC's have an increased diameter compared to stock cats.... also 9 out of 10 times, it is the test pipes that will create more rasp than HFC's

you may want to search sound clips that include HFC's with after market Y pipes...

good luck in your search....

there's a huge sale on this part if people want to jump on it. i'm going to try and talk to the store to see if we can get more discount so post here if you're interested.

JM - are you going to do the installation yourself or you're going to have a shop do it?

CNT will fit fine as well as Berk... only reason i stick to name brand is for the O2 sensor knobs... its mostly speculation but I figure the guys with brand rec use proper engineering and I prefer not to throw a CEL... If you are not inclined i'd recommend a shop to do it, its a PITA. also, most shops tend to not mess with cats, as sometimes its illegal. I've tried multiple cats/brands and if it fits the Z it will fit the M... headers (long tube,) and Y/X pipe back is a different story but thats what the TIG is for :)

Cheers and enjoy the new sound and feel...

well, i still didnt install anything..

i just received today the Berk HFC, (the quality is excellent!) costed me 460 Shipped to my aramex hub address in NY!!

I received earlier the K&N Drop in filter!

waiting for the Plenum spacer! bought it for 225 shipped from ebay

not sure which 1/2" motordyne plenum spacer kit you get but if it's the top of the line which include the aramid spacer, throttle body spacer then the cheapest is around 270 plus shipping. the labor to do that is about 1-2 hours for a novice installer. that includes all the cleaning of the upper collector and throttle body.

the filter drop in is exactly that, pop the air box open, take the old filter out and insert new filter.

the HFC is more involve only because average owner do not have access to any lift system. from fatboy picture, i think there are about a handful of nuts and bolts you have to take off. if the fitment of the part (BERK HFC) is not an issue meaning it bolts right on without any fidgeting, then the installation shouldn't be that long. also i can get the Berk HFC for 350 shipped.

now saying all that, i haven't actually install any hfc to the car yet. i've done the exhaust system before but not the hfc. since it's winter and i live in CT, it's friking cold as hell outside so i do not have any motivation to stay out doing this under the car. which is why i want to know how much your shop is going to charge you to get a baseline before i start shopping around.

are you going to keep your stock Ypipe?? if so, do us a favor and measure the inlet diameters -- I believe they are 2" but not 100% sure...since you now have the Berks, you're increasing your diameters which 'may' not match up to a stock Ypipe....you will get rasp. fyi...
