The guy next door to us owns a machine shop and loves making small parts to get out of his boring routine of production run gov parts . i just had him make a Sr20det coil pack cover, it came out pretty good. we are going to make a run of them and see if they go. i was wondering if there is any interest in them for our motors, hes wanting to make one for my car and will make more if there is interest. Give me some ideas of what prices is worth it to you, and if you want them vented or with custom text on them, or even a design for them cause i was thinking of making them look pretty much stock, or completely smooth.

If you could make a sweet looking one with some vents in it to cool the coils i would def. be down.

A lot of us would be down as this has been discussed before. Other people have offered to have these made by somebody they knew be it out of carbon fiber, aluminum, concrete, wood whatever. However the same thing always happened, the thread went away and it was forgotten.

I would definately be down for one as long as it isn't a 350 dollar cover like the dude on EBAY who has those two HKS ones. Simple, clean, maybe a nice logo in the middle and I think everybody will be happy. If it comes out nice then I might even be down for a couple. I might even be able to get you some German guys to get in on this but lets see the product.

If Greddy made a coilpack cover for our cars I would pay 350$ for it, I love Greddy.

i was wanting to keep them in the 100$ range, i am very open to designs because i suck at designing stuff outside actually building turbo kits and parts that have more function then form. even rough sketches of what they look like.

well if all goes fine tomorrow, i might have a prototype ready by tuesday afternoon, once my machinist gets onto a kick he will whip out part after part just for fun. ill get some pictures of the SR20valve cover just to give you a idea what they could look like if done very simply

check out the tomei ones on their site. we need a cover with louvered vent fins, maybe etch out CA18DET into it. that would be sweet.

I might be the only one but ANYTHING beyond the stock look would be exciting to me.

I sent that dude with the HKS one a Best offer of 200 bucks as a shot in the dark he hit me back with a 250 offer....... I was like yeah, for 250 bucks Im going to invest in a nice radiator instead.

The Tomei ones would be nice with CA18DET etched into the middle.

250 is rather ridiculous for a spark plug cover his 350 is even worse.

here is a picture of the first Sr cover.

This is a simple polished version, we are making them also to look very similar to the stock one, but without lettering

This one we were playing around with leaving the flycut marks in it, attempt to give it a kind of holographic look with altering the tooling directions.

for the Ca versions, i was thinking of making it flat with the fins on it, and a few vents possibly in between.

Be sure to use Nissan's "font" if you do lettering.

Ok, now you got my attention. Are you still aiming for around 100 bucks for ones with the vents? I can't wait to see the CA version.

I think if you copied that OEM sticker "TWIN CAM INTERCOOLER" or whatever it says would be hot, or maybe "1.8L TURBO".

slow moving, we are really busy building 3 sr20det drift cars for the next few weeks, and the machinist is working on a small run of the sr covers, as soon as they are done he has my ca18 cover and will be working on them.
