so i just had my cmod grille installed and color matched exactly to my precision gray A/C.
i AM gonna black out my emlbems with plasti dip. but i also want to add on the emblem from the old grill, and plasti dip that too.

my support bar is still visible and matched to my car, i was thinking im most likely gonna paint the bar black, as well as the radiator, i feel like with both these done it will still be visible. would my blacked out emblem still be visible on the grill? and distract/hide the support bar enough?

suggestions?
also i really do not want to cut the bar off completely

I dont have the C Mod grille, but from what Ive seen this is the best way to do it. There is a write up on the forum somewhere, use the search button and you should be able to find it.

i was just wondering if anyone else has tried anything else.

I say snap that stupid thing off dude. Even when painted you can still see it and it looks ridiculous. Shouldnt have any sagging at all bc everythings snaped and screwed into place. Im snaping mine off when I get the grill 100%.

i would say don't remove it. paint it matt black and it should be somewhat hidden. i'm not a huge fan of cutting things off my car. but if it bugs you that much, and the emblem doesn't hide it enough, then hack it off.

i think it's been debated how much support that bar actually provides

ive done a search before, and read almost every topic that included the words "support bar"
i think i recall someone saying theyve had a tiny amount of sag?
if you guys can relink to any particular posts that may come in handy, feel free to do so:P

edit: after looking it over some more, as well as discussing with more people, i decided for myself that it will be ok enough to cut it off, and so i did. just finished maybe 20 minutes ago.
lookin so much better now!

now i just cant figure out how to mount my plastidipped emblem.
the holes in the mesh are at just the right distances to not allow the clips to fit in optimally with out putting stress on them

edit: heres a picture

I know several people have cut the support bar out and had no problems, but I did wonder if there would be any sag in the long term. I decided to make a thinner bar that would not be as visible. I made it out of aluminum so it would be the same color as the radiator. I think it looks better than the plastic bar and still provides support.
