I have a 91 240sx fastback (base model, no hicas or abs)I just replaced my clutch master cylinder yesterday and now I can't get the damn pedal to work. I've spent about two hours bleeding the system with no success. When I open the bleeder valve, a steady stream of fluid comes out. no air. The pedal goes to the floor like there is no pressure at all, and stays there. if you lift the pedal about 3/4 of the way up, it will pop to the full up position. I checked the pedal height and it is within factory spec, and I see no signs of leakage from the slave cylinder. Is this being caused by that evil clutch loop box or is there something else going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you having someone press down on the pedal and then you loosen the nipple on the line, tighten it back up then they release the pedal back up? Also the pedal snapping back up sounds like the valve in the MC, the way I confirmed mine was bad is take the valve out, suck and blow on it, it shouldnt let you blow on it because the valve inside is supposed to close. I know this is a vague description but its the best I could describe, hope this helps.

have someone push the pedal and bleed it at the master. crack the pipe nut and let it bleed off around the nut. after no air comes out there then bleed it off the slave. if you have the wonder loop it may take awhile to get the air out of the lines.

yeah, thats the way I've been bleeding it, I also bled the line that connects to the master cylinder before I started at the slave like nistech said. Does this just sound like a job for more bleeding or is there something else going on?

I adjusted the stroke of the clutch pedal, and now I have absolutely no pedal whatsoever. no pressure when pushed down, and then it just stays on the floor. still no leaks..
