K this is the issue cliff notes

-motor has been turbo for about a year ( number 5 of 5 )

-got back from Iraq, randomly the motor would go into fail safe.

-after about 10 min or so in fail safe, it would go back to normal and would be ALLLL good

-Knock Sensor was bad. and broken wire on Temp sensor. fixed both and cleared codes

-Checked All grounds and electronics.. ALL check out flashes 55 on ecu

-When its in Fail Safe Mode, cly number 2 doesn't have spark and or fuel, all the others respond to pulling the plug wire and injector clip ( Not good to do i know but i had to )

- in the last 5-6 weeks i have had a Drift event, Auto-x and drag event, and the car was flawless and then on the way home or just randomly the car seems to go into Fail Safe.

-It revs all the way past 3 k so its not the MAF.

-when idling, i can rev it up and the motor goes up without much hesitation, but under load it sounds like a turbo Lawn Mower

-Not Tps idles fine

ill compression check it and see if Cly number 2 is just dead.

this **** blows... i normally help others, but now i need some guidance lol. if you have had a similar issue what was the issue.

Has any had a Bad ecu that flashes good?

well i used a spare plug.. im getting good strong spark now. i gave the plug wire a firm push on the dizzy part. that's all good got spark in cly number 2.. now to check for fuel

issue fixed.. was dead injector

car idles like a new born baby

i was gonna say, if unpluggin spark and idle doesn't change, then its the injector.

Welcome home and gload you diagnosed your own problem

Also the abreviation for cylinder is cyl not cly...lol. I was like...what the f*** is cly? Figured it was a black thing...DOH

How long before you hit JDM land?
