well....ive had the CM stage 5 clutch for oh prolly about 600 miles est. And i noticed im getting a little chatter at idle...not much....but i was wondering if anyone else got chatter from the clutch masters stage 5 kit. This is the full race 4 puck unsprung hub ceramic pad disk also. Hehe...ive already busted 1 trans...shreaded 1st gear with a 7k rpm dump with this clutch. Ive heard of other people having chatter with full race kits like mine so thats why im asking...

lewis

p.s. the disk you see in my avatar is the disk i have in the car

super singles chatter when the clutch pedal isn't depressed. sounds like something's vibrating against metal, completely normal.

yea i have sound similar to that, i have this same exact clutch. Another problem i have is at 3krpms it rattles and at autox when im comming down from the 6k rpm range in gear it rattles all the way down to 3k and stops. But i think thats my pilot bearing.~Sam

It's not so much a question of power so much as it is a question of accelerative rate causing more force. If your transmission isn't moving, and then you rev to 7000 and dump the clutch and the clutch doesn't slip at all, your driveline is going to accelerate VERY quickly, and F = MA.
