Well I just purchased a new clutchmasters stage 3 clutch for my sr20det, but it didn't come with a throw out bearing.

Does anyone know if I can use an oem throwout bearing with it or do I need a specific bearing that would normally be included with the clutch kit?

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Nevermind I have a new question....I think the clutch I purchased was originally for a nissan maxima. These clutches are interchangeable correct? I mean the pressure plate bolts up to the fly wheel and the discs splines slid onto the transmission.

I'm just buggin out about this and want to make sure this will work

I called clutchmasters and they said I could go to nissan and order a throw out bearing from a 85 - 89 pick up and that will work.

I think third-gen (89-94) maxima clutches will bolt to an SR flywheel. If what you got truely is for a Maxima, as long as it bolts up it should be harmless if not beneficial, since I think the Maxima clutch has more contact area with the flywheel.

As for the release bearing they're all the same part for any year 240sx. They could be right about the Pickup thing, I know later Pups had a KA-E but both generations also had an available V6, and I don't know how dissimilar the transmissions were. To be safe just order a release bearing for a 240sx.
