Ok, there hasnt ever been a definitive answer on where to get these clutches for our beloved motors so im starting a list. Everyone post every clutch option and a place to get one. I need one by the end of next week and i want to spend around 350 or less. I have some options but i gotta get in touch with people and i want to see what all my options are. And will a ca16 clutch fit? because i found a centerforce clutch for 88 pulsar with a 1.6.

An '88 Pulsar with a 1.6 would be an E16i. The CA16DE was only available in '87.

if you did a search you would find alot of threads about clutches, and the ca16de fwd clutch kit won't workif i remember right it is to small. If you're looking for a clutch kit i can get you a 6-puck sprung kit under 350 shipped email me for details [email protected]

my guy can pretty much make you anything you want twin disc, six puck, 4 puck. its up to you to decide. i know for a fact that his six puck clutches hold up to 600hp coz thats what we got in a 1jz lexus we are working on.

SPEC clutches has one made especially for the CA18DET. Comes in 5 Stages. http://www.enjukuracing.com.

-SPEC's website http://www.specclutch.com/specMain.htmlput in Nissan, and then when it says to pick a model, go down farther and the CA18DET is an option in the list. DON'T TRY TO GET ONE FOR A PULSAR. It will work, but they don't have the same strengths available.

Yeah i saw that and i think thats what im going to get. How unstreetable is the stage 4 because if its the same price i think im going to just get that and hope i can get good with my feet. But right now, my clutch pedal is EXTEMLY soft and it does not grab AT ALL so i think its going to be a crazy change.

KA clutches work also after a 5 second trim down/removal of one of the alignment pins on the flywheel.

Don't even bother about using a ca16de clutch especially the centre force clutch, I used it on my fwd ca18det and it doesn't work good, it iwll start slipping around 8psi, I was realy disappointed in Centre force(I had centre force dual friction clutch).First the clutch is about 2 inches smaller than the det or ca18de, flywheel is very small and light compare to a ca18de and ca18det.

Do EVEN BOTHER WITH CA16DE CLUTCH EVEN IF IT IS FREE especially on RWD ca18det engine.

I am using a clutch called BULLY CLUTCH, it is made here locally (Ottawa, Canada) it is stage II full feramic clutch, dual spring.I boost on take off at 18psi and that it is taking the beating for the last 2 years.I highly recomend them, I can get you guys some discount, find out what prices they give you and I can beat it, I buy lots of clutchs form them for customers cars.

here is there website http://www.bullyclutch.com/

good luck,

They are usually go for around 550canadian dollars which is around 420USD. These clutchs are undistructable, I vouch for them, I put it through some serious abuse and never slipped or acted up.PULSAR GTR

is that 'feramic' disk a material that grips harder, the more heat you put into it ? I see some dsm awd guys rave about em and they say the clutch is very inexpensive and it will "give" just a split second... that instant slip puts the heat in the disk which then bites hard. That "give" also softens the drivetrain shock that kills gearboxes. Can even work with a good stock pressure plate or slight upgraded one, so pedal pressure remains comfortable. Sounds like the perfect clutch... gotta find such a disk for the ca18 now
