Which clutch would be better for a KA-T? Spec Stage 3 or Centerforce Dual? I can't seem to find any specs on the Centerforce ones.

the centerforce dual friction clutch will hold 90% more than stock. expect to buy a new clutch when you get close to the 280ftlb mark.

if you're planning on running less than that, then go for it. i believe adam hutchinson has been using the centerforce DF for years with no problems.

yep...used i think 5 of the CF df now...

i am on my last one...it started slipping somewhere bewteen 2 dynos i did...261ftlbs and 297ftlbs torque...other than that..they have been great...so if you are under those numbers you will be just fine..

i just bought a 6 puck ACT race clutch that holds up to 350ftlbs..so it should last for a while until i get passed that level..

I am gonna be running a SPEC stage 3 6-puck clutch. It holds 347ft/lbs and is $299 at Enjukuracing.com. That's much cheaper than an ACT, for the same thing.-Jeff

Go with the centerforce. It grips pretty hard but is also smooth. On a good day i can get a third gear scratch and i only have intake exhaust and chip on a 97.

This car will be mostly for strip use. I plan to have it in the 350rwp + range.
