I have a very bothersome question (cuz i haven't had a car for 2 weeks now) 2 weeks ago something siezed up between the clutch pedal and transmission and now i can't get the transmission to engage. I am able to get the transmission into every gear but it won't actually engage the clutch when i release the pedal. I was thinking that it might either have been my master or slave cylinder but when i had a garage look at it "(ironically it went out in front of them) they stated that it was my clutch itself that was bad. do you guys have any input on this cuz i planned on putting a new clutch and swapping the transmission but if it is only the cylinders i'd much rather replace them.

btw i have a ka24e

Slipping clutch needs new clutch. Unable to engage is hydraulics: master, slave (or both) or the damper box.

If you can put it into all gears but the car won't go the to bearing isn't releasing, or the pressure plate broke, or it slips so bad the clutch is completely fried.

So it's either stuck to bearing, clogged damper, or new clutch. See if the slave is working correctly when someone steps on the clutch pedal. If so it's in the clutch.

well i did check the slave on my own, i just propped the pedal and then looked at it and it didn't seem to change. then i hit the clutch fork with a wrench and it made a small sound like it was trying to slide back into place. but the cylinder didn't move at all. I planned on replacing them too just in case. Could the adjustment on the master cylinder have caused this problem. i.e. having the adjustment arm out too far? when i bought the car i did have some problem with theclutch pedal so i turned the arm out n i think that might have screwed things up.

I ran into a problem and wondered if anyone else has had to deal with this. The transmission that i am using for the swap is off of my 200sx. I removed all the bolts that hold the bell housing together and the snap and clip orings from inside the housing but i am still unable to seperate the transmission. I did notice however that between the bell housing and rear gear box there seems to be to large rods pressed into offset holes. anyways i was wondering if you guys might know a trick to separate these parts without much damage.
