1994 pickup-

Parked it a couple months ago. Jumped in to move it yesterday and the clutch didn't want to depress. Being the kind of guy I am, I pushed harder on it. Didn't take all that much pressure to free it; it kind of popped and then felt like it was working normal.

Started truck and it acted like the clutch wasn't disengaging at first- got it into gear but ground some metal doing it.

Once I got it into gear it then would not engage, and that's the story with it right now: when shifting it is tough and grindy, but once in gear, the truck goes nowhere.

Making no noise.
Was working fine when parked.
Confirmed that the hydraulic cylinder is moving the linkage that goes into the bell housing.

I bet there is surface rust or burrs on the input shaft preventing the disc from moving.

How would I check that?

Only way to tell is to pull the inspection plate and look while someone operates the clutch from inside the truck.
