why a 1.5 way over a 2 way for drifting? i'd figure the 2 way would be more predictable

Clutch is better for drifting, helical is better for everything else. I guess he suggested 1.5 way for more streetability.

its going to pop and chatter no matter if its a 1.5 way or 2 way.as far as drifting is concerned, i really cant see the difference a clutch diff would make over a welded. if you're on the gas, the clutch diff is going to act just like a welded. the difference would be in the transition from accel to decel.

clutch type is better for drifting. a helical is good for road racing/street applications. 2way is better than 1.5way for drift as well. 2 way locks fully on decel as well as accel. 1.5 doesnt lock fully on decel which makes it less effective/ predictable
